Meeting with Joe H re new LSBU web templates
I had a very productive meeting with Joe H today. We came to an agreement on many of the issues that I was concerned about, and I now feel much happier about it all. This is my understanding of the situation now...

The new LSBU web templates are not set in stone, and revisions
may be made to the banner and footer etc. after further consultation with myself and others.

We will not be expected to use RedDot or any other specific
technology; that decision will be up to us to make.

We will be able to design our own information architecture,
provided that it does not conflict with the University's.

We will be able to create stand-alone microsites for our research
centres etc. if we so choose.
Given that I intend to undertake the bulk of the work over the summer, we really need to agree on the templates by Easter if at all possible.
