Alternative Staff Publications Pages

A large number of my colleagues have by now updated their cv pages and publication lists, but there are still many who haven't done this. In particular, people seem quite lazy/disinterested in keeping their publication lists up to date. The biggest problem is entering the publications in the first place, especially for those very research active academics who have many publications. It's quite easy to copy and paste text into the form for the cv pages, but entering publication details into the RBDO's database is a much more time-consuming job.

I'm beginning to think that we should consider setting up an alternative for those who want it; a facility that would allow them to set up and maintain a publications page by simply entering free text as for their cv pages. I'm hoping that we may be able to use the system that Imran is now finalising (for his final year project) for this purpose. I'm not sure that the RBDO folk will be very happy about it, but if it leads to more staff members posting their publication lists on the web then I think it'll be worth doing.
