Team Meeting
This morning we had our sixth team meeting to follow on from the meeting that we had on 15th May. We noted/discussed/agreed the following.
Other Notes...
Progress Reports:
- Martin...
- has been doing more work on our external website over the last few weeks, and liaising with Ellie R. (Student Marketing Officer) and David P. about future work to bring our Faculty website more in line with the new corporate image and web page templates - I'll write up a separate blog entry on this soon.
- Imran (sent to me after the meeting by email for inclusion here)...
- Since the last team meeting I've been doing further work on the course home page system. Over the past month I have been working with Mike C. on the announcements part of the system. The whole project is now in its final stages, and I am currently working on the final bits and pieces.
- I have also been working on producing two new pages, which aim to promote the International Courses and Combined Honours fields that are on offer within the Faculty.
- James (sent to me after the meeting by email for inclusion here)...
- National Bakery School; final changes have been made before new pages go live. I will go through the new pages with a member of NBS staff to make sure they are happy up-dating the pages.
- Friends of the Faculty; work has continued on these pages, subsequent to the recent FOTF event.
- Link Checker; continued to check for link errors.
- Mike...
- has done some work on our external website,
- has been helping Imran to integrate the existing emailer/announcements system into Imran's new Course Home Pages system.
Other Notes...
- The National Bakery School's website was really the last big one within the BCIM Faculty, that I'm aware of at least, which needed re-doing. There are still some smaller sites - e.g. belonging to various research groups - that need re-doing, but that shouldn't be a huge amount of work. (The Institute of Computing Research website is not in the same style as all our other websites, but since that was done as a separate project after the Faculty was formed I feel that we should leave it as it is for the time being.)
- James pointed out that the 'Centre for Advanced Systems Modelling and Simulation (CASMS)' website is still live, although Ddembe W. is no longer at LSBU. There is link to it from the Centre for Accounting, Finance & Governance page, so I shall email Ken D. to see whether this ought now to be removed.
