A New Website for the National Bakery School

James and I had a meeting a couple of weeks ago with Jenny D. from the National Bakery School (NBS), which is part of the BCIM Faculty. As noted at our last team meeting, they are happy for us to re-work their website, and James has volunteered to undertake this work for them. The meeting with Jenny was meant to set the ball rolling. James and I were impressed when we discovered that Jenny had actually produced their existing website herself, with some help from Russell K. from the Staff Development Unit at LSBU. Here is a local copy of their existing home page.

Jenny said that the contents of their existing website are farily up to date, although there were a few things she wanted to add. She seemed happy for us to redesign it in whatever way we thought appropriate, provided that the contents - including images etc. - remained intact.

While James will be doing the bilk of the work, I offered to create a draft of the banner etc. using the software that I have on my Mac to keep the look as consistent as possible with our other sites - including the new Langauge Centre website that Imran is now working on.

Here is my initial suggestion for the new NBS home page. I'll now hand this over to James...
