An "advanced search" page for the StaffWeb
Following on from my final thought in my previous blog entry, I have now created this "advanced search" page for the StaffWeb.
Note (added 6/4/06)
Today I added the bcimfasc site, which was put together by Sourav D., as another "entry point". Here are the Picosearch settings I'm using, and here are the re-indexing results for the site re-index that I've just done, which shows that our intranet currently consists of 190 pages in total (not including timetables pages). These results indicate that there some errors within the bcimfasc pages; I shall bring these to Sourav's attention.
I'm still using PicoSearch as before, but now I'm making use of their search partitions facility. The partitions I've defined are as follows...
partitionALL:"Search all pages in the StaffWeb and StudentWeb" partitionStaffWeb:"Search the StaffWeb only, including archives" http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/bcim/intranet/staff/ partitionStaffWebMinusArchives:"Search the StaffWeb only, excluding archives" http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/bcim/intranet/staff/ -http://www.lsbu.ac.uk/bcim/intranet/staff/archives/ |
